Location
The Paradise Center for the Arts is located at 321 Central Avenue N. in downtown Faribault, Minnesota. Conveniently located just off I-35W, Faribault is less than an hour from Minneapolis–St. Paul, Rochester, Mankato, and Austin, Minnesota, making the Paradise Center an easy destination for visitors from throughout southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities area.
Parking
There is 90-minute parking on Central Avenue Monday–Saturday, 8 am–7 pm. The time restriction ends at 7 pm. There is an 18-hour parking lot behind the Paradise, and another 18-hour parking lot across the street from it.
Accessible parking is available on Central Avenue near 4th Street/Highway 60 on the east (4th St. NE) and west (4th St. NW) sides. Click here for a map of accessible parking.
Main Doors Accessibility
Ticketed performances/shows and some special events will have a Door Person at our main doors to assist guests in entering the building. Should you need assistance with the doors at other times, please call the Box Office at 507-332-7372.
Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located off the main-floor lobby and on the lower level. The upper-level restroom is not accessible to people with disabilities.
Elevator
The elevator can be located on the northeast side of the lobby. The elevator can be used to reach the lower level (rehearsal room and offices) and the upper level (classrooms and balcony).
Accessible seating
There are 3 transfer seats located on the south side of the right aisle (N2, O2, P2). There are 6 wheelchair spots at the front of the auditorium, with companion seating, accessible via the right aisle and ramp (south side of the lobby). To purchase a companion seat, you must also purchase a wheelchair spot.
American Sign Language (ASL)
Paradise Community Theatre and the Marquee Children's Theatre have one performance per show, ASL interpreted. Contact the box office at 507-332-7372, boxoffice@paradisecenterforthearts.org to find out the date and the interpreters' location.
Assisted Listening Device (ALD)
ALDs are available at the Box Office prior to each performance. Patrons are asked to leave their name and phone number with the house manager. The house manager/production coordinator will meet you in the lobby after the performance to return the hearing device to the box office.
Sensory-Friendly
Marquee Children’s Theater offers one sensory-friendly performance per show. Children’s wiggle seats and booster seats are available for kids’ shows on a first-come, first-served basis.
Service dogs
Service dogs are welcome at all programs. It is expected that the service dog will be kept under the handler’s control and shall not disrupt programs, performances, or classes. It should be noted that emotional support, therapy, comfort, and companion dogs, and dogs in training to be service dogs, are not considered service dogs under the guidelines of the ADA and therefore not permitted in programs or performances.
